Job Summary
Deputy Warden, Operations leads the security and unit management functions at Wilkinson County Correctional Facility. Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating administrative and programmatic activities, staff training and performance evaluations, budget development and control, and ensuring compliance with ACA standards, MTC policies, and MDOC directives. Oversees inmate disciplinary and grievance processes, develops and implements policies and procedures for security operations, collaborates with training and safety to meet facility objectives, manages staffing for security functions, and ensures safety, health, and security standards through regular inspections. Requires delivering leadership in staff development, supervising multiple subordinate managers and officers, and guiding rehabilitation-oriented initiatives while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in correctional management, criminal justice, public or business administration, education, counseling or other related field preferred
- Five (5) years correctional experience, three (3) of which must be in a supervisory capacity required
- Valid driver’s license in the state of Mississippi or Louisiana with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management
