Deputy Tax Clerk - County Tax Assessor/Collector's Office

Accept and process transactions for motor vehicle and property tax payments, including setting up and monitoring payment plan agreements. Assist taxpayers by responding to questions or directing them to the proper personnel, while collecting payments, making change, and balancing daily transactions. Submit payments, file customer records with supporting documentation, and prepare transaction reports for the State. Maintain knowledge of current laws regarding motor vehicles and sales tax, track security of State accountable items, and assist Internal Auditors. Train new employees and participate in emergency management activities during local disasters as directed.
