Deputy Store Manager

Job Summary
Lead outstanding in-store customer experience and motivate staff to provide top-notch care. Oversee product sales, register duties, shop shelf care, gift packaging, and order fulfillment while ensuring accurate merchandising and strict food safety protocols. Schedule effective staff shifts, coordinate store meetings and events, and manage inventory orders to meet store quotas. Act as a key communicator of corporate values, handle loss prevention standards, and manage the store during the Store Manager's absence. Maintain cleanliness and stock products requiring physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift 15-40 pounds in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications
- at least one year of experience in a retail space with increasing levels of responsibility (ex: growth from associate level to shift lead/floor lead/assistant manager)
- strong leadership, staff management and customer service skills
- reliable with a flexible schedule, including the availability to work extended hours, weekends, and holiday hours based on store needs
- proficient in computer skills such as email use and management, Microsoft 365, data entry, spreadsheets, and POS
- quality-minded with keen attention to detail
- proactive and efficient
- passionate about chocolate
- physical stamina to remain active and stand for long hours, often walking or standing in a fast-paced environment
- ability to move quickly between tasks, assist multiple customers at once, or handle unexpected changes (like restocking or re-organizing displays)
