Job Summary
Oversee the maintenance of office environmental and critical building systems by supervising a shift team in executing planned preventative maintenance and reactive works. Manage and issue work orders through the CAFM system, ensuring all tasks are performed safely and to the correct standard while monitoring sub-contractor performance. Swiftly remediate plant faults and defects, maintain critical spares, and ensure accurate completion of paperwork and risk assessments for all site activities. Monitor the building's operation using the BMS system, complete shift reports, and maintain compliance with contractual KPIs and SLAs. Work 07:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00 following a continental shift pattern.
Required Qualifications
- A good basic education
- Good written and spoken English
- Basic mathematics skills
- Formally trained in Electro-Mechanical principles to the equivalent of Level 3 NVQ in Building Services Maintenance
- Experience of working in Building Services within either a corporate environment or a complex building
- Experience of, or exposure to, supervising people
- Shift work experience, including both day and night shifts
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good written English skills
- Strong IT skills
- Logical reasoning
- Inquisitive nature, with the desire to understand complex issues and their resolution
- Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service
- Calm manner and able to work under pressure
- Able to make sound decisions when required
- A team player, able to work with BGIS and client representatives at all levels
- Must be willing to provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice
- Must be willing to be flexible in working patterns
