Job Summary
Conduct daily law enforcement duties as a Deputy Sheriff Cadet, adhering to strict ethical standards and demonstrating effective oral and written communication in English. Maintain correctable vision of at least 20/30, with glasses or hard lenses meeting 20/100 uncorrected acuity, while collaborating within a team-focused environment. Complete the application process by submitting transcripts or diplomas and passing a background investigation with no felony convictions or active probation. Applicants must be at least 20.5 years old at application time and hold a valid picture ID.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age is 20.5 years of age at the time of application; minimum age 21 at the time of appointment
- U.S. High school graduate or G.E.D.
- Degree from an accredited college or university
- Certified foreign studies equivalency
- No felony convictions
- Not on probation
- Valid picture I.D. such as military, driver's license, state, or other photo identification issued by a regulatory agency
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English
- Vision: correctable to at least 20/30
- Glasses/hard lenses minimum 20/100 uncorrected
