Job Summary
Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and inspectors across civil, mechanical, electrical, and architectural disciplines to monitor and coordinate contractor activities on a rail project. Develop discipline-specific construction schedules, verify material compliance with specifications, and maintain first-level quality assurance oversight for installation works. Supervise construction engineering activities, ensure inspections and testing are witnessed and documented, and collaborate with design teams to resolve technical issues. Provide schedule updates, progress assessments, and reporting to the Construction Manager while mitigating safety, environmental, and operational risks. Maintain project records, progress reports, and back-charge documentation to support final handover and closeout activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of post-graduate experience on major civil or infrastructure projects
- Experience on rail, metro, transit, or related transportation projects
- Proven experience leading and managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams
- Strong problem-solving, coordination, and organizational skills
- Experience with construction materials testing and quality assurance, including soil, concrete, grout, dewatering, and load testing activities
- Strong understanding of construction planning, material delivery, staging, scheduling, and site coordination
- Knowledge of construction quality, safety, and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous GCC project experience
- Experience delivering fit-out, station, depot, or transportation infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary construction interfaces within complex project environments
