Job Summary
Deputy Registered Manager role in a children’s residential home for ages 8–17, leading the team under the Registered Manager. Focus on therapeutic, child-centered care, compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, and maintaining an inspection-ready service. Responsibilities include supporting day-to-day operations, supervising staff, overseeing care planning, risk assessments, behaviour support strategies, audits, and external relationships. Essential requirements include Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Level 5 Leadership & Management desirable), understanding of 2015 regulations, supervisory experience, and a full UK driving licence. Required Qualifications
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Level 5 Leadership & Management desirable or willingness to work towards it
- Strong understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations (2015) and Quality Standards
- Experience working within a children’s residential setting, ideally in a senior or supervisory role
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
- Full UK driving licence
