Job Summary
Represent the Construction Director in subcontractor negotiations, bid evaluations, and vendor performance oversight for wind and solar farm projects. Develop master construction schedules, manage project budgets and cash-flow forecasts, and maintain risk registers to ensure delivery within scope and budget. Conduct site visits, coordinate permitting, and lead technical-commercial discussions with Design, Commercial, and Procurement teams. Prepare executive dashboards, weekly reports, and monthly project summaries for senior leadership while managing contract handovers and change controls. Requires Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with mandatory wind/solar construction experience. Full-time role based in the UK with competitive salary and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Mandatory experience in wind farm and/or solar PV plant construction
- Strong understanding of civil works for energy projects (foundations, access roads, platforms, drainage, balance-of-plant)
- Solid grasp of construction sequencing, logistics, and site constraints for large-scale renewable projects
- Strong planning and project controls capability (schedule, cost, risk, KPIs)
- Commercial and contractual awareness (BoQs, claims, variations, subcontract administration)
- Confident communicator with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and ownership mindset
Desired Qualifications
- Power BI, Aconex, or ERP systems are a strong plus
