Job Summary
Lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex underground municipal infrastructure projects across the GTA, ensuring safe, on-time, and budget-compliant execution. Serve as the primary client contact while managing multidisciplinary teams through technical leadership, mentorship, and project oversight. Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and risk strategies, collaborating with specialists on engineering solutions and supporting business development activities like proposal preparation and client presentations. Coordinate with contractors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance, manage procurement and change orders, and maintain rigorous project controls documentation. This newly created Deputy Project Manager role prepares you for a Project Manager position on flagship projects exceeding $700M.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Construction, or a related Engineering discipline
- 8+ years of progressive experience managing complex infrastructure projects
- significant experience in major municipal conveyance infrastructure
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada
- Must be able to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- 12+ years or Project Management experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering large, technically complex projects
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and contract administration
- Experience developing client relationships, supporting proposals, and contributing to business growth
- Excellent communication, collaboration, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
