Job Summary
Deputy Project Director – HVAC role based in Jeddah or Riyadh, leading the nationwide HVAC projects portfolio in Saudi Arabia (KSA). Owns full lifecycle from sales handover to execution and closeout, driving profitability, governance, standard project-management practices, and digital tools adoption. Responsible for portfolio prioritization, budgets, cash flow, contract management, risk mitigation, and ensuring on-time delivery across chiller replacements, HVAC retrofits, VRV/VRF systems, and turnkey EPC projects. Leads a team of project managers, engineers, and support staff, collaborates with sales, engineering, procurement, and service teams, and acts as executive client/stakeholder liaison to secure repeat business. Requires deep HVAC technical expertise, PMBOK-style methodologies, 12+ years in HVAC project management with senior leadership experience, strong financial acumen, and robust knowledge of the KSA regulatory environment. Ensure quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (master’s degree or MBA is an advantage)
- Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in HVAC project management, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles
- Proven track record in managing large-scale, multi-site turnkey and EPC projects
- Strong technical expertise in HVAC systems, including chillers, VRV/VRF technologies, and retrofit solutions
- Deep knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK or equivalent)
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L ownership and commercial decision-making experience
- Extensive experience in the KSA market with solid understanding of local regulations, standards, and client expectations
