Job Summary
Deputy Program Manager to support a NOAA IDIQ program for Tomorrow.io. Responsible for ensuring contract requirements, deliverables, milestones, and customer commitments are met, maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule, developing program artifacts (PM Plan, communication plan, staffing plans, risk register, etc.), coordinating with technical leadership and subcontractors, and providing regular status updates to NOAA and Tomorrow.io leadership. Requires 5+ years of project/program management experience, strong coordination across multi-stakeholder environments, and proficiency with Jira, Confluence, GitHub Projects, Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com or similar tools. Relocation assistance may be offered for certain roles, and the position requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residency due to export control considerations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in project management, program management, or a related role
- Experience managing complex programs with multiple workstreams, stakeholders, schedules, risks, deliverables, and reporting requirements
- Knowledge of NOAA’s NWP modeling suites
- Experience supporting government contracts, federal programs, task orders, subcontractor coordination, or customer-facing delivery programs
- Strong project management discipline, including schedule management, risk management, action tracking, meeting facilitation, status reporting, and deliverable coordination
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-ready status updates, meeting notes, progress reports, and follow-up communications
- Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub Projects, Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com, or similar systems
