Job Summary
Plan, authorize, and monitor engineering work by managing a team of top talent to ensure total system integration, testing, and verification. Maintain focus on project goals while developing high-reliability space hardware and overseeing global position satellite systems. Lead technical staff in applying AI, Blockchain, and quantum physics to solve missions in cyber, RF, undersea, and space domains. Provide Earned Value, cost, and schedule leadership to drive continuous improvement and innovation. This role is based at the GD Scottsdale campus in Arizona and may be performed fully on-site or in a flex format. The position requires a Department of Defense TS security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field
- 5+ years of job-related experience
- Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
- Department of Defense TS security clearance
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire
- U.S. citizenship
- Eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Solid track record for developing high-reliability space hardware
- Experience with global position satellite systems
- Experience with space material procurement and qualification
- Skilled project manager with strong Earned Value, cost, schedule, and program performance record
- Substantial leadership skills with a focus on team building and motivation
- Solution oriented and ready to solve challenges in creative ways
- Ability to provide technical leadership and position others for success
