Job Summary
Deputy Program Manager 3 in San Diego, CA, responsible for delivering all contractual requirements on cost and schedule, leading cross-functional IPTs to meet program performance, and managing relationships with customers and stakeholders. Responsibilities include developing proposals and business plans, establishing program organization, negotiating contracts and changes, defining design concepts and SOWs, maintaining baselines and budgets with EVM or equivalent control techniques, allocating resources, managing government property and suppliers, adhering to policies and standards, and conducting risk and opportunity management. Must be able to travel up to 25% and work on-site with no remote options for this role. Basic Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of related experience (or MS with 7–9 years, depending on degree) and an active Top Secret clearance with SAP eligibility. Preferred qualifications include SAP clearance, CAM leadership, P&L experience, and DoD program management experience. Salary range is $193,000–$289,600 with potential bonuses and benefits; relocation assistance may be available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience, OR Master’s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience
- Experience leading performance of tasks on schedule, cost, and requirements as project lead/IPT/CAM
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret or higher clearance (with BI within last 6 years or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and ability to obtain SAP clearance prior to employment
- Strong program management, engineering, capture, and business management background
- Ability to interact effectively with customer, program management, business unit, and supply base executives
- Experience in risk and opportunity management and long-term strategic planning
- Experience with proposal development and contract management
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost/schedule control methodologies
