Job Summary
Lead a team of staff to enable young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and SEMH, to meet their emotional requirements through high standards of care. Conduct careful assessment and planning to create positive learning environments, while working directly with families to develop individualized programs for each pupil. Manage staff appraisals and supervision, applying Positive Behaviour Support techniques to motivate young people and resolve difficulties in challenging circumstances. Coordinate multi-agency work in line with safeguarding legislation and policies to ensure the welfare of all children.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience with ASC, ADHD or SEMH pupils
- Experience of multi-agency work with an understanding of legislation, policies and guidance around safeguarding and child protection
- NVQ 3 in Care/Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification
- This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check

- Ideally - Leadership related Qualification
