Deputy Operations Manager responsible for quality service control, overseeing a ringfenced team in a fast-paced environment; drive process improvements, coach junior colleagues, conduct root-cause analysis, oversee scheme events, and present reports at Trustee/Administration meetings; requires strong pensions knowledge, stakeholder liaison, budgeting, and profitability management.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in pensions calculations with a high standard of accuracy
- Advanced technical knowledge of UK pensions legislation and scheme types
- Strong client and trustee liaison skills
- Experience in supporting change implementation and process analysis/improvement
- Experience in managing budgets and client profitability for allocated clients
- Strong communication, analytical problem-solving, and team collaboration skills
- Ability to work across teams and motivate others
- Coaching junior colleagues to take ownership of service delivery
- Ability to oversee scheme events and conduct quality control reviews
- Experience reporting to Trustees and Administration meetings
- Ability to identify and capitalize on revenue opportunities and ensure services are billed per contract
