Job Summary
Deputy Marshal responsible for courthouse security, supervising and coordinating security for the Fourth Judicial District Courthouse in Elmore County. Provides courtroom security and bailiff duties, escorts jurors, serves legal papers, and assists judges and court staff. Duties include monitoring security equipment, screening public entrants, handling arrests of security risk individuals, and preparing written reports. Requires knowledge of basic court procedures, law enforcement practices, security policies, and the ability to think quickly and act decisively in emergencies; must have strong communication and professional demeanor. Must have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 21; Basic law enforcement training (POST/ALERT) preferred; valid driver’s license and clean background as prerequisites.
