Job Summary
Lead and supervise a team of production operators and technicians to execute filling and packing operations in compliance with approved Batch Filling Records, Batch Packing Records, and current Good Manufacturing Practices. Plan, organize, and control daily production activities to meet manufacturing targets, while monitoring processes to minimize downtime and ensure strict adherence to FDA and MHRA regulatory standards. Review and approve batch manufacturing records, deviations, CAPAs, and market complaints, collaborating with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Supply Chain departments to support uninterrupted plant operations. Provide training to production staff and prepare production reports for senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline
- 18 - 12 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing
- at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role within drug product production
- In-depth knowledge of GMP, regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH, USFDA, EMA), and quality systems relevant to pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Proven experience in managing and optimizing manufacturing processes for various drug product formulations (e.g., tablets, capsules, injectables, liquids)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and technologies used in pharmaceutical production
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
- Proactive approach to process improvement
- Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, regulated environment and manage multiple priorities
