Job Summary
Deputy Manager- Plant Engineering responsible for providing strategic and functional leadership to ensure reliability, standardization, and continuous improvement across plant equipment, utilities, and infrastructure. The role emphasizes maintenance excellence via TPM–PM practices, regulatory compliance, and leadership of energy management and sustainability initiatives to support overall plant performance. Key tasks include planning and executing preventive and breakdown maintenance through SAP EAM; developing PM, TBM, CBM, and Predictive maintenance strategies; driving RCA/RCFA-based improvements; acting as the technical authority for equipment and utility systems; standardizing engineering and maintenance practices; mentoring engineering teams; leading breakdown analysis and improving MTBF/MTTR and equipment availability; driving TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement; managing equipment installation, upgrades, and commissioning; supporting plant infrastructure and utility projects; managing spares, AMC contracts, and maintenance budgets; driving energy optimization and ISO 50001 implementation; ensuring compliance with Factory Act, CEA, MPCB, and IMS standards; maintaining SOPs, TPM records, and audit documentation; tracking maintenance KPIs and preparing performance reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (full-time)
- Diploma + Degree considered
- 12–15 years of experience in Plant Engineering / Maintenance
- Exposure to SAP EAM, SPMs, TPM, and utility systems
- Technical skills in RCA/RCFA, energy management, utilities (Electrical, DG, HVAC, Air, Water)
- Project management and commissioning capability
- Strong analytical/problem-solving, leadership, cross-functional collaboration
