Job Summary
Prepare and process key documentation including specifications, loss records, and proposal components to facilitate market submissions. Analyze quotes from various markets, review existing client insurance programs, and ensure coverage specifications submitted to carriers and underwriters are accurate. Manage follow-up on outstanding documentation, coordinate changes with underwriters, and maintain appropriate market contacts. Oversee performance management for small to medium-sized groups, conduct monthly reviews and appraisals, and manage succession planning through IDPs and performance improvement plans. Conduct root cause analysis on operational failures, manage system migrations, and handle capacity planning and forecasting. Work 12pm–9pm or 1pm–10pm shift with at least three days onsite in Mumbai.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate with 6 plus years' experience in the insurance broking domain
- 2-3 years' experience in team management
- Process knowledge of broking business and insurance terminologies
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks during peak volume periods
- Good command on MS Office applications (MS-Excel, MS-Word)
- Decision making and Problem solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Good relationship skills
- Proven ability to work on functional initiatives
- Willingness to work 12pm – 9pm or 1pm – 10pm shift
- At least three days a week in the office
- Documents and oversees performance management for a small to medium sized group
- Coordinates workload of team members and ensures team is appropriately staffed to meet client needs
- Review operational and quality failures, conduct root cause analysis & monitor plan to ensure success
- Manage migrations seamlessly
- Manage capacity planning and forecasting
- Ensure leave policy as per business demands
- Conduct monthly performance reviews and appraisals within agreed timelines
- Identify and develop individuals for next level with IDP and support bottom quartile colleagues with Performance Improvement Plan
- Ensure attrition is managed as per the company standards
- Develop effective relationships with the stakeholders (internal and external) and participate and contribute in meetings
