Job Summary
Deputy Manager to lead the Newmarket Pet Care Centre: oversee store operations from stock control to merchandising, drive performance and customer engagement, lead in absence of the Store Manager, and foster a welcoming, pet-friendly environment. Role emphasizes coaching and developing the team, ensuring operational excellence, delivering a best-in-class customer experience, and maintaining a culture of inclusivity and collaboration. The position includes industry-leading training, onboarding, and ongoing development, with a 7-day rota including weekends and bank holidays. Required Qualifications
- Experience of running a team in a busy retail, hospitality or customer-focused environment as a manager / supervisor
- Worked with KPI’S and driven team performance
- A passion for people, coaching, developing, and motivating those around you to do their best
- A love for delivering great results and an eye for operational excellence
- Strong communication and organizational skills, you keep calm, even on the busiest days
- Flexibility to work a 7-day rota including weekends and bank holidays
