Job Summary
Deputy Manager at Kids Planet Mapperley, a fixed-term maternity-cover role. You’ll work alongside the manager to run the nursery day-to-day, build warm relationships with families, coordinate with outside agencies to support each child’s growth and wellbeing, and bring EYFS to life in a fun, engaging way while ensuring safeguarding and high standards. Requires Level 3 UK early years qualification, strong EYFS knowledge, safeguarding expertise, and leadership experience in a nursery setting. DBS/ safeguarding training is a core requirement. Responsibilities include leading with the manager, maintaining safe practice, and delivering high-quality early years provision.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least Level 3 qualified in UK recognised early years qualification
- Excellent understanding of EYFS
- Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children
- Leadership experience within a nursery setting
- DBS check required (Enhanced DBS)
- A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate is mandatory for all positions
