Job Summary
Deputy Manager, Automation responsible for defining standardized automation architecture across the facility, including PLC platforms, I/O configurations, and communication protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP); lead integration of equipment and systems into centralized SCADA/DCS platforms, ensuring interoperability and scalability. Develop and enforce automation standards for new equipment to ensure consistency and future-proofing. Drive Digital Solution Implementation with Site teams, ensure timelines, and harmonize digitalization projects per One Amneal vision (eLog, MES, IPQC). Identify and implement new digital technologies to enhance operations; coordinate with IT, engineering, and operations for deployment. Lead Industry 4.0 initiatives, identify technologies to improve processes and efficiency, and coordinate cross-functional deployment. Manage vendor and system integrator selection and performance; draft URS and ensure equipment compatibility with automation standards and digital infrastructure; ensure compliance with International Automation Standards. Establish data acquisition and historian systems, develop dashboards and KPIs for real-time monitoring and analytics; use analytics for predictive maintenance and process optimization. Oversee IQ/OQ/PQ for automation systems and integrated equipment; ensure activities meet timelines, budget, and regulatory frameworks. Ensure compliance with USFDA, EU GMP, and ISO standards; maintain documentation including validation protocols, SOPs, and audit trails; conduct periodic reviews and audits. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in automation, robotics, and pharma manufacturing, fostering collaboration across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent (Bachelor of Engineering suggested)
