Job Summary
Deputy Site Leader at Veolia North America supports the Site Leader in daily operations, fosters teamwork, ensures safety, quality, and efficiency, and may step in as acting Site Leader. Responsibilities include coaching staff, overseeing safety training and audits, maintaining client communications, supervising a team (typically fewer than 10 FTEs), managing contract execution, improving operational reliability, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Requires leadership experience in water/wastewater facilities, strong communication, and the ability to mentor junior staff; certification requirements may apply.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED is required
- 3 years of leadership experience, 2 of which in a supervisory or lead role
- Knowledge of water and/or wastewater treatment processes (coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection)
- Ability to obtain required certifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data management systems, SCADA/CMMS desirable
