Job Summary
Deputy Head of Care at The Orpheus Centre leads and supports a small team to deliver high-quality care in supported living and college settings. Responsibilities include quality assurance, staff supervision, managing safeguarding/compliance, overseeing records and assessments, coordinating person-centred care reviews, supporting student transitions and housing assessments, contributing to recruitment and costings for local authorities, and leading team meetings. Essential skills include significant care/education experience, supervising small teams, safeguarding knowledge, excellent communication and organisational abilities, and strong IT/digital record-keeping. Qualifications sought include Level 3 Health & Social Care (or willingness to progress) with ongoing professional development; desirable Level 4/5 in related fields and safeguarding training. The role requires a UK work eligibility, a driving licence, and willingness to drive company vehicles. Required Qualifications
- Level 3 Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)

- Experience supporting young adults with disabilities or complex needs
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and person-centred practice
- Strong IT literacy and digital record-keeping
