Deputy GL Accounting Manager

Job Summary
Lead and oversee GL Accounting operations for all sennder entities, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant month-end and year-end closings. Mentor, support, and develop a team of GL accountants while fostering a culture of performance and collaboration. Drive consistency in accounting practices by supervising journal entries, reconciliations, provisions, intercompany transactions, and providing audit support. Coordinate activities across relevant finance workstreams, including FP&A, AP/AR, Treasury, and Tax, to achieve a unified and efficient GL function. Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant local GAAPs, and contribute to the centralization and harmonization of accounting processes as part of the group's transformation roadmap. Act as the primary accounting contact for the organization, identifying and implementing process enhancements focusing on standardization, documentation, and automation.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or Audit
- Proven team leadership experience
- Professional qualifications such as CECCAR, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
- In-depth knowledge of local GAAPs and IFRS
- Demonstrated experience in multi-entity and international month-end closing processes
- Fluency in English
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with other local GAAPs
- Experience managing local tax compliance topics
- Background in finance transformation, process optimization, or shared service environments
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite and Oracle)
- Strong Excel skills
- Proficiency in additional languages
