Job Summary
Deputy General Counsel for US Commercial and Legal Operations at Fuze Health, embedding in the revenue-generation and growth strategy of Fuze Services. Responsibilities include negotiating enterprise-level commercial agreements, guiding product offerings and marketing programs, ensuring regulatory compliance (FDA, HIPAA) and payor-mandated alignment, mitigating fraud-and-abuse exposure (AKS, FCA), leading marketing content review and IP usage, and managing a team of attorneys and other professionals. This role functions as the internal regulatory gatekeeper for growth initiatives and requires leadership across cross-functional executive teams, with travel up to 10% and remote-work eligibility across numerous US states.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active license in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 12–14 years of legal experience in healthcare (firm and/or in-house experience preferred)
- Deep subject matter expertise in health care regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated history of leading enterprise-level, revenue-impacting enterprise deals in healthcare
- Working knowledge of payor/PBM contracting, corporate practice of medicine, reimbursement economics, and healthcare fraud-and-abuse laws (AKS, FCA)
- Proven management skills with experience leading attorneys and collaborating across cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and judgment with rapid-turn analysis on enterprise deals
- Experience negotiating complex commercial contracts and advising on product offerings and marketing programs
- Regulatory leadership to ensure growth initiatives remain compliant with federal and state laws
- Ability to oversee vendors and maintain marketing/content review processes
