Job Summary
Lead strategic legal counsel for PJM's regulatory, commercial, litigation, policy, and stakeholder matters, advising executive leadership and supervising attorneys. Manage legal risk, support regulatory compliance, and oversee the preparation of pleadings, testimony, and position papers. Partner with Governmental & Member Services to develop regulatory strategy, advocate PJM's objectives before FERC and federal forums, and represent the company in courts and alternative dispute resolution. Engage with members, stakeholders, and industry groups to advance consensus-based solutions while promoting ethical decision-making and compliance. Plan and prioritize complex matters in a fast-paced environment, communicating power system and market concepts to executive and public policy audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD degree)
- 15+ years of progressively responsible legal experience, including leadership of attorneys, legal professionals, or cross-functional teams
- 5 years of work experience in the electric industry, FERC regulatory matters, or organized wholesale electricity markets
- 10 years of work experience practicing law in regulatory, commercial, litigation, energy, or related legal areas
- Licensed to practice law and able to be admitted to the State Bar of Pennsylvania
