Job Summary
Lead and advise on complex healthcare transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, affiliations, and strategic partnerships. Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on sophisticated agreements across the enterprise while providing strategic counsel on regulatory requirements, cybersecurity, intellectual property, real estate, and supply chain matters. Partner with senior leaders to evaluate legal risk and advance business objectives, independently identifying emerging risks and opportunities to improve service delivery. Mentor legal professionals and drive process improvements to enhance the responsiveness of the legal function.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- 10+ years of substantive healthcare legal experience advising healthcare providers and/or health systems
- Significant experience with healthcare operations and regulatory matters, including areas such as patient-care issues, privacy and security, medical staff matters, graduate medical education, and compliance with anti-kickback and fraud and abuse requirements
- Broad legal experience with particular depth in healthcare law
- Healthcare transaction experience involving M&A, joint ventures, affiliations, strategic partnerships, or other complex arrangements
