Job Summary
Lead the monthly and annual close process for all group entities, ensuring timely, accurate, and IFRS compliant reporting while maintaining strong ledger controls and balance sheet integrity. Oversee statutory accounts, external audits, and UK tax compliance across the UK, US, and India, including corporation tax, VAT, and transfer pricing initiatives. Provide senior oversight of PRA, FCA, and BoE regulatory returns, acting as the escalation point for technical matters and driving improvements to reporting systems. Functionally lead and mentor finance controllership teams in India, partnering with FP&A, Treasury, and Legal to deliver aligned outputs and support strategic finance projects involving automation and system upgrades.
Required Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- 10+ years' post-qualified experience
- Strong background in IFRS reporting, tax compliance, and financial controls within financial services or banking
- Proven track record in managing close processes, statutory filings, and regulatory interactions
- Experience working across geographies and with senior stakeholders
- Hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a delivery focus
- Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, advisors, and regulators
- Organised, proactive, and resilient in a fast-paced, regulated environment
- Collaborative and capable of developing high-performing teams
