Job Summary
Support people with learning disabilities and autism directly on shifts and off rota, providing coaching, mentoring, and supervisions to Enablement Assistants. Manage quality assurance processes, deliver training, conduct welfare checks, and facilitate person-centred planning with families and external agencies. Act as a role model while championing collaborative working to achieve individual goals. Requires a full UK driving licence, experience in neurodisability support, and ability to swim and ride a bike. Work 42 hours weekly across all shift patterns including nights, weekends, and sleep-ins, with on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in supporting people with learning disabilities and autism
- Confident swimmer
- Able to ride a bike
- Enjoy doing physical activities outdoors
- Available for all shift patterns including days, nights, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and on-call
- Ability to work off rota
- Ability to complete supervisions, probations and appraisals
- Ability to deliver training
- Ability to review paperwork
- Ability to support with transitions
- Ability to provide a buddy system to other management teams
- Ability to champion interactions, person-centred planning and implement support plans
- Ability to work in partnership with the people we support, their family, our specialist support teams and external agencies
- Ability to act as a role model and mentor to the team
- Ability to facilitate collaborative working and creative solutions
