Job Summary
Lead the site Environmental, Health & Safety Management System across all project activities at Hinkley Point C, ensuring operational compliance with UK statutory requirements and Nuclear Site Licence Conditions. Act as the designated deputy for the EHS Manager, assuming full delegated authority to represent Arabelle Solutions at senior leadership forums and coordinate with the Principal Contractor and ONR. Manage the multi-disciplinary site EHS team, overseeing subcontractor assurance through planned audits, routine inspections, and approval of method statements. Lead formal investigations for all site EHS events, track corrective actions to closure, and deliver executive dashboards on EHS performance metrics.
Required Qualifications
- NEBOSH National Diploma
- NEBOSH General Certificate with demonstrable senior nuclear / major project construction experience
- Thorough operational knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 (Contractor duties)
- UK EHS legislation
- Nuclear Site Licence Conditions
- ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 Lead or Internal Auditor
- CMIOSH or CertIOSH
- recognized lead incident investigation qualification
- Proven EHS management experience within major nuclear new build, power generation, or high-hazard complex construction environments
- Strong track record of managing multi-contractor interfaces and executing rigorous assurance programs
- Robust communication, influencing, and leadership skills across multi-cultural teams and senior client tiers
