Job Summary
Develop and execute strategic initiatives to grow Wiley's Advanced Portfolio within the physical chemistry community globally. Leverage your network to commission high-quality papers and build collaborative relationships with leading researchers to enhance content quality and brand influence. Represent the portfolio at conferences and through outreach activities at universities and research institutes. Contribute to editorial evaluation, peer review, and decision-making for manuscripts while ensuring adoption of best practices and the highest ethical standards. Collaborate with the global editorial team to manage manuscripts from related subject areas and establish a team culture of trust and high performance.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science or related fields
- 2+ years of post-PhD work experience (Post-doctoral, Academic, Publishing)
- Subject matter expertise in physical chemistry
- Excellent command of the English language (both written and verbal)
- Willingness to travel

- Preferred background: PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science or related fields
- International experience
- Preference in energy, catalysis, and surface science
- Keen interest in science and science communication
- Strong desire to advocate for innovations in publishing and open research
- Prior experience in publishing, editorial, or science communication experience
- Understanding of Open Access workflows and Open Research
- Flexible and innovative approach to problems

- Strong understanding of scientific publishing, including commissioning and the peer-review process
