Job Summary
Deputy Division Chief in the Litigation Division of the City of Atlanta Law Department leads and defends civil actions, supervises a staff of attorneys, develops case strategies, directs outside counsel, and establishes operating policies. The role plans long-term talent needs, coaches and mentors employees, manages organizational budgets, and communicates case trends and strategy to internal audiences with exceptional legal writing and presentation skills. The incumbent also guides organizational strategy and policy within legislative or executive constraints and reorganizes the Litigation Division to meet objectives.
