Job Summary
Oversee daily financial operations, controls, and reconciliations to ensure organizational stability. Conduct in-depth financial analysis for budget preparation, forecasting, and projections while managing funds, chart of accounts, and cost control activities. Prepare schedules and documentation for financial audits, analyze current processes to identify gaps, and implement improvements. Act as the finance department representative for key financial decisions and mentor finance and accounting staff. Ensure all transactions, reports, and documents maintain compliance with government accounting standards and emerging regulations. Complete special projects and collaborate within the team environment. Full-time, direct hire with a 40-hour work week; must live in or relocate to Buffalo within six months. Salary range $70,000-$85,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 2 years Accounting experience
- Associate's degree in Accounting
- 4 years Accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Proficient computer skills, specifically Excel & various financial software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent analysis and interpretation skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Must live in the City of Buffalo or move to the city within 6 months of start date
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
