Job Summary
Plan, implement, and maintain the Jail's electronic data processing systems, network infrastructure, and virtualization platforms. Serve as technical lead for system upgrades, troubleshoot enterprise server environments, and monitor security to ensure reliable operations. Coordinate vendor support, manage procurement documentation, and provide advanced training to staff on hardware and software procedures. Participate in the IT on-call rotation for after-hours emergency support and act as Acting Director during the Director's absence. Perform budget activities, system analysis, and technical writing to support departmental operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, information technology, or related field
- Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Pass a criminal background, Drug Test, DMV check and polygraph examination
- Considerable experience in systems administration, network administration, or information technology operations
- Equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and progressively responsible experience
