Job Summary
Senior leadership role overseeing Programs Division in the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing; responsible for strategy, program design, operations of shelter and housing programs; oversees ~119 staff and multiple senior managers; liaises with city divisions; required education and management experience; focus on equity, performance outcomes, compliance, grant funding.
Required Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
- Six (6) or more years of senior-level management experience in the public, private or nonprofit sector within social services, homelessness, supportive housing, or a related field
- Direct supervision of staff and activities, program development, implementation, and strategic collaboration
- Ability to oversee design, implementation, and evaluation of shelter, housing, prevention and related programs
- Experience with coordination across divisions and engagement with city officials and stakeholders
- Substitution: up to 2 years of education may be substituted with additional years of experience
- Master’s degree may substitute for one year of required management experience (optional interpretation)
