Job Summary
Oversee interviews of all relevant participants, document the investigative process, and manage formal responses to discrimination/harassment charges. Lead the drafting and editing of investigative memos, notices, and comprehensive investigative reports; ensure all evidence is logged and interviews summarized accurately. Supervise staff handling Title VII/Title IX investigations and document production; collaborate with university administrators and stakeholders; support the Associate Vice President in day-to-day operations of the DIA. Requires advanced degree (Master’s or JD) and 4+ years of related investigative experience; strong oral/written communication; ability to lead a team and represent complex investigations in formal contexts. Based in Austin, TX; full-time with standard office conditions and some early-morning/weekend work as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Juris Doctor
- At least four years of experience investigating Title IX, equal employment opportunity compliance, or student conduct matters
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience drafting or editing legal briefs or investigative reports
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
