Job Summary
Deputy Company Secretary & Deputy Counsel Governance role based in Sydney, NSW. Lead and strengthen the governance and company secretariat function, support the Board and Committees, provide practical governance advice to senior leaders, and oversee legal, regulatory, and licensing obligations. Must hold a Law degree with an unrestricted practicing certificate, possess or pursue company secretarial qualifications, demonstrate governance experience at Board/Executive level, and bring strong communication and collaboration skills to a purpose-driven organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws or equivalent legal qualification with a current unrestricted practicing certificate
- Company secretarial qualification or accreditation (e.g., AICD, Governance Institute of Australia, Chartered Secretary)
- Experience in governance, company secretariat or regulatory environments
- Graduate or Fellow of AICD or equivalent governance qualification (desirable)
- Strong judgement and communications skills
- Ability to engage at Board level
- National police history check, qualifications, referee checks, and suitability to work with children/vulnerable people (pre-employment)
