Job Summary

Deputy Clerk – Recorder of Deeds: Full-Time, Non-Exempt position in the Champaign County Clerk’s office. Performs clerical duties involving processing and maintaining official records, including answering phones, assisting customers, handling receipts, researching and recording public records, posting changes to permanent records, maintaining ledgers and financial records, and preparing correspondence and forms. Requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, problem-solving abilities, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and excellent communication and customer service skills. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, with a union-supported, full-time schedule and competitive benefits.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED/associate's degree and two years of responsible office/clerical experience
