Job Summary
Deputy Clerk I provides clerical and customer service support for the Magistrate Court’s operations. Responsibilities include answering telephones and greeting visitors, assisting customers with filing legal documents, keying and scanning warrants and orders into the case management system, collecting filing fees, copying and mailing documents, processing mail, scheduling wedding appointments, typing marriage certificates, and preparing correspondence. Requires knowledge of court policies and records management, proficiency with office practices and computer/software usage, and strong organizational, math, and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- More than one (1) year of related experience required.
