Job Summary
Assist the Chief Operating Officer in providing overall operational leadership for the Committee, covering human resources, staff security, travel, events, risk management, contracting, and diversity equity and inclusion. Provide counsel on significant internal and external operations and policies, including major organizational events, while collaborating on compliance, insurance, and the development of new systems and procedures. Represent the DNC in meetings with community and business groups, build relationships with external partners, and monitor assigned departments to ensure conformance with goals and eliminate performance impediments. Manage Operations Facility Management teams and maintain a safe work environment while supporting the expansion of processes for coordinated campaign efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Have a passion for and commitment to the DNC mission
- Have a minimum of a Bachelors degree
- Present strong operational experience
- ideally has worked in operational management for a socially responsible organization for 4+ years
- have some experience working in political organizations
- Display experience in or ability to handle matters of organizational development

- Travel: The Deputy COO position will require travel, which could be up to 15% of the time
- This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends
- Due to federal campaign finance rules, only U.S. citizens or U.S. green card holders are eligible for this role
