Job Summary
Deputy Chief of Staff to the Commissioner’s Chief of Staff for the NYC Administration for Children’s Services. Lead strategic initiatives, manage high-level stakeholder engagement, and oversee critical agency operations. Responsibilities include coordinating complex issue escalations, providing robust project management support to senior leadership, preparing executive-level presentations and briefing materials, coordinating weekly executive meetings with the Commissioner’s Cabinet and cross-agency stakeholders, liaising with City Hall, managing a portfolio of special projects from conception to completion, tracking tasks and producing weekly priority updates, synthesizing information for executive decision-making, coordinating public speaking commitments, and representing the Chief of Staff in meetings and external engagements. The role requires strong organizational, customer service, diplomatic, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to public service and the ability to work independently while aligning with leadership priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- two (2) years of responsible full-time paid experience in one or more fields: social service, psychology, public relations, urban planning, program evaluation, budget administration or financial administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, human resources development, political science, urban studies or closely related field
- equivalent combination of education and/or experience as described; at least one year of the described experience if using equivalent
