Job Summary
Manage key aspects of development, implementation, and consolidation for a multi-country child development and protection project under the Chief of Party. Serve as a secondary donor contact and coordinate technical, operations, MEAL, and partner teams to ensure compliance with donor requirements and CRS quality standards. Provide leadership and oversight for technical implementation across participating countries, offering guidance and quality assurance to consortium partners and country teams. Effectively manage and supervise talent, including coaching, mentoring, performance assessments, and recruitment of senior staff. Mitigate risks by monitoring national and regional issues, updating safety plans, and ensuring adherence to child protection principles. Promote cross-country learning, knowledge management, and government ownership while maintaining relationships with key consortium partner staff.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing key aspects of development, implementation, and consolidation of assigned projects
- Experience serving as a secondary point of contact to donors and public, private, and non-government stakeholders
- Experience managing key functions of projects to meet donor expectations in terms of timely and quality results, milestones, and budget
- Experience ensuring coordination between program and operations leads
- Experience ensuring CRS program quality standards are adhered to
- Experience providing leadership and oversight for technical implementation across participating countries
- Experience ensuring high-quality, evidence-based programming and consistent achievement of project objectives and milestone-based deliverables
- Experience providing technical guidance and quality assurance to consortium partners and country teams
- Experience ensuring consistent implementation of project approaches and standards
- Experience effectively managing and supervising talent
- Experience managing team dynamics and staff well-being
- Experience providing coaching and mentoring
- Experience strategically tailoring individual development plans and completing performance assessments for direct reports
- Experience contributing to the development of staffing plans and the recruitment process of senior staff
- Experience managing and mitigating risk through monitoring national and regional issues that may impact staff and programming
- Experience ensuring all CRS safety and security policies and plans are updated and that staff are aware of and adhere to current plans
- Experience supporting safeguarding and accountability efforts by ensuring child protection principles and standards are integrated across all technical activities and partner engagements
- Experience promoting, upholding, and modeling a commitment to the efficient use of agency and donor resources
- Experience ensuring compliance with donor grants, including financial tracking and oversight of partner budgets, finance, administration, and donor reporting
- Experience maintaining relationships with key staff of consortium partner organizations
- Experience contributing to coordination of the roles and activities of staff from other consortium member organizations in implementation in line with CRS partnership principles
- Experience promoting cross-country learning, knowledge management, and the application of lessons learned to strengthen program quality and project performance
- Experience creating and maintaining proper conditions for learning
- Experience establishing a safe environment for sharing of ideas, solutions, and difficulties and the capacity to detect, analyze and respond quickly to deficiencies
- Experience identifying performance gaps and training opportunities for CRS and partner staff and recommending trainings and technical assistance
- Experience providing technical oversight and quality assurance of sub-awardee and vendor activities
- Experience ensuring partner-delivered results meet project standards, milestones, and technical objectives and contribute to overall project performance
- Experience acting on behalf of the Chief of Party, as needed, including global representation to the donor
- Experience proactively managing programmatic risks
