Job Summary
Drive operational and academic excellence as the second-in-command, deputizing for the CEO and shaping organizational strategy to achieve long-term mission goals. Oversee program delivery, staff performance, and budgets for 350-600 staff while managing large, cross-functional teams. Lead fundraising strategy to secure diverse funding streams and cultivate donor partnerships, ensuring financial sustainability. Represent the organization with government agencies, donors, and international forums to advocate for education and gender equality policy reforms. Ensure academic quality through continuous improvement cycles using research and data, working hands-on in schools to maintain grassroots credibility.
Required Qualifications
- Classroom teaching experience
- 10+ years of leadership experience in education or mission-driven organisations
- Proven track record of managing programmes/operations at scale (350-600 staff)
- Strong fundraising ability - donor cultivation, institutional fundraising wins, and strategy execution
- Comfort with data, research, and program evaluation frameworks
- Willingness to relocate to Lucknow and commit full-time, on-site
