Job Summary
Monitor residents' nutritional and hydration needs, deliver hands-on care when required, and lead staff training and supervision. Create, manage, and amend risk assessments at strategic and operational levels to ensure staff follow procedures. Communicate regularly with the Manager on events during absences, covering operations as needed, while acting as a role model for professionalism and customer service. Report maintenance issues to management and facilitate meetings or support groups. Manage staffing budgets and use IT systems effectively to maintain compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2009 and CQC regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role at management or senior level within a registered service
- Strong working knowledge of the Heath and Social Care Act 2009 (regulated activities)
- CQC Registration Regulations 2009
- Care Act 2014/2015
- Ability to undertake day to day running of the home under the direction of the General Manager
- Good with information technology
- Strong influencing and professional relationship building skills
- ability to facilitate meetings or support groups
- Strong people leadership and management skills
- Experience in managing staffing budgets
