Deputy/Assistant Director, Payments Scheme and Governance Manager (Contract)

Job Summary
Lead development of payment strategies and governance for national payment schemes; oversee policy development, project plans, stakeholder engagement with financial institutions and industry players; analyze trends in payments and governance models; manage end-to-end project lifecycles from problem identification to implementation; build and refine governance frameworks and policies for better governance and risk management of national payment schemes; collaborate with industry players to ensure resilience and capacity to enable market participants to capture opportunities in the future payments landscape; this is a 2-year contract.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business, finance, technology or related field
- Experience Keen interest in payments and FinTech sector
- Relevant experience in financial services, public policy and payments regulations will be advantageous
- Knowledge and Skills Strong understanding of payment systems, local and global payments landscape, financial technology and infrastructure, and banking industry trends would be an advantage
- Effective communication skills and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to positively influence across all levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attributes A good team player who is highly proactive and self-motivated, with strong learning propensity on the payment industry and keen interest in growing Singapore as a financial centre
- Strong interpersonal skills, easily connects with people
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within in larger team
