Job Summary
Operate and maintain solid waste station machinery such as compactors, sweep floors, clean around solid waste stations, mow grass, move snow, and scrape ice. Maintain simple records on vehicle usage, container loads, and equipment performance. Assist customers with unloading trash, inspect loads for unacceptable materials, and pull recyclable material to the MRF. Load trash into semi-trailers utilizing heavy equipment while ensuring a safe working environment for employees and customers. Participate in training to expand knowledge of company products and services.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- valid drivers license
- legally eligible to work in the US
- demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment
