Job Summary
Process direct bill reconciliations for Retail division offices by collecting, transacting, and recording insurance carrier commission statements and payments. Analyze unearned commissions, resolve open activities, and leverage software automation for process efficiencies. Collaborate with profit centers to identify and correct billing errors while maintaining efficient practices with carriers. Review industry trends to develop subject matter expertise within assigned carrier partner scopes. Participate in training on new products, legislation, and technology to remain current on industry standards. Requires 2+ years in accounts payable within the insurance industry and proficiency in Vertafore AMS360.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of financial accounting
- Working knowledge of state regulations where business is conducted
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher
- Able to create, edit, and merge letters, spreadsheets, labels, etc.
- Proficient in Vertafore AMS360 products
- Proficient knowledge use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.)
- 2+ year work experience in accounts payable in insurance industry

- College Degree in a finance-related field
