Job Summary

Open and sort mail from USPS, UPS, and FedEx; post transactions for loans, deposits, and general ledger entries; balance posted items against the core system. Scan checks using branch capture scanners, bundle daily work, and destroy processed checks after 60 days. Process account closures, verification requests, and profile maintenance including address changes and new share subaccounts. View, quality control, and approve checks from tellers, mobile, merchant, and at-home channels; upload cash letters to the Federal Reserve twice daily. Handle stop payments, reject reports, and share draft fraud packets; assist branches with member inquiries and direct member contact. Coordinate with IT on system issues and support help desk requests. Perform document administration, audit new account cards, and prepare for internal and external audits.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Associate's Degree from a two-year college or technical school
Ability to work in a dynamic, high monetary risk operations governed by established deadline and regulatory requirements
The ability to make effective decisions under pressure
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, and organizational communications
Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively with team members and other CU associates
