Deposit Operations Specialist

Job Summary
Review, balance, and reconcile daily Deposit Operations reports while processing settlements, stop payments, and NSF transactions. Manage ACH transactions, wire transfers, and foreign collection items, verifying compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. Monitor positive pay exceptions, address overdrawn accounts, and assist with fraud prevention by identifying suspicious activity and scams. Balance Virtual Vault accounts for cannabis banking operations and support online banking services including e-statements and mobile deposit reviews. Travel between branch locations as needed and provide backup support across departmental functions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of related banking experience
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of insurance
- Qualifying motor vehicle record report
- Reliable transportation
- Knowledge and understanding of banking operations, industry practices, and banking principles
- Strong understanding of deposit operations processes, electronic payments, and transaction processing
- Ability to accurately calculate figures, balances, and financial transactions common within the banking industry
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent customer service skills
- High level of professionalism and integrity
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Flexible, adaptable, and willing to continuously learn
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

- Commitment to following all Bank policies, procedures, security protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Must be willing to begin certification within one year and successfully obtain the Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) designation if not currently certified
